The smell of chlorine was invading his nostrils all the way down the hall. This was something he had wanted to do since he gotten to the school. All his life, he'd always swam in lakes and ponds, never in a real pool. It wasn't because the brunette couldn't though, it was because he absolutely refused to support what public pools were doing. What the hell were public pools doing? Dumping their filthy, chlorine, infected water straight back into the water stream. That was awful for the environment. How could anyone be so mean? Either way, the point was, that he was assured that this place was different. They decontaminated all of it before running it back into the ground.
Robbie was wearing a plain, white t-shirt and some green boxer shorts. His towel was swung over his shoulder. With his hippie band around his head, he looked rather odd. This wasn't his usual style choice, but he wasn't going to walk down to the pool in just his shorts. That would be awkward. If he didn't already get starred at for odd, unexplainable reasons, that would have made it worse.
Entering the room, Robbie threw his towel on a chair near by. The pool was obviously indoors, so it was surprising to him that it was empty. Most kids wanted to get inside and out of the hot sun on days like this. He thought the pool would've been crowded. Either way, it was nice. A pool to himself. Robbie smiled at the thought and threw his shirt on the same chair as his towel.

Olivia started to walk downstairs from her dorm, she was heading towards the pool. As she looked out a window she noticed crowds of students that were all mingling with eat other. It looked like the whole student body was out there enjoying the heat. She never really thought that warm weather was great, she liked that weather that you could wear a sweater and jeans and not overheat. She liked the rain too, it gave plants their water and was just refreshing.
She was walking down the stairs, well it was more like running. As she reached the bottom, she tripped and caught herself. She was always so clumsy. Not clumsy enough to break a bone but enough to leave sctratches and bruises. She got up, seeing a small scratch on her knee ignoring as she walked on. She was wearing a pair of cut off black shorts that were once pants but she cut to make shorts and a deep red tank top. There was a towel draped over her shoulders as she walked barefooted closer to the entrance of the pool.
Olivia walked in, seeing a brunette wearing his green boxer shorts about to jump in to the pool. She wasn't sure if there was going to be anyone here before she came but he answered her quiestion. She did expect more people to be inside here rather than outside in the heat. She leaned against a wall wondering if he'd notice her. She decided that she should probably leave him be since she didn't know him..

Hearing a small noise in the direction of the door, Robbie turned his head. There was a girl standing there. She was a rather tall and skinny one too, not that he was trying to judge her. Still, he couldn't help but be a normal guy and study her for a minute. Any time Robbie saw a girl, he comparred her to Susan; a childhood friend. This girl didn't seem at all like her. Robbie shook his head at his stupidity. No one in this school was going to replace her. Yet, he still tried to find girls to fit the stereotype. What was that about?
Knowing that it was weird to just say hello to random strangers in high school, Robbie hesitated for a moment. If this was back home, he would've said hi the second she walked in the door. Robbie shook it off, and looked back over at her.
"Looks like someone had the same idea I did?"
Robbie gave her a friendly smile as he waited for her response.

Oliva watched the boy as he looked over to her. He must have heard her when she came in to the pool room. He looked nice, not like some of the kids at this school. The day she got here some emo punk guy had spit towards her, luckily it didn't actually hit her. He didn't really seem like someone she would talk to in the near future, but this guy didn't seem to bad. Yet again, how would she know, she hadn't even met him and he's in his boxers..
"Looks like someone had the same idea I did?" The boy asked her with a smile on her face. Olivia smiled back at him, his smile was nice. He didn't seem like anyone that was rude or anything.
" Yeah, I did. I'm suprised there weren't more people down here." She answered to him walking a little closer too him. She stopped a couple feet away from his practically naked self.

Robbie studied her a bit more. His impression was that she was thinking he was a bit crazy. Robbie just shrugged it off. What else was she supposed to think of this? He chuckled lightly to himself. Oh well, she didn't run the other way, did she? Nope. So it was all good.
"Do people hang out in the pool room often?" he asked her. "Because it really doesn't look like it..."
He wasn't too sure, being sort of new to the school and all. It was only last week that he figured out wear everything in this place actually was when it came to his classes and such. Either way, he liked this school so far. Plus, all the phone calls from his friends made everything a bit more bareable.
Robbie turned from her and headed in the direction of the pool. He was considering just jumping right in, but he wasn't sure if he'd seem even crazier then. Scaring people away was always something he was sort of afraid of accidently doing. So, instead, he just waited a minute.

"I'm not sure actually.. Haven't been down here before." She said truthfully. She'd been here for a few weeks or so but nothing really had happened. She didn't even know if the pool was a popular area since she hadn't really talked to anyone yet. She probably should ahve since she'd been here for a few weeks but no she hadn't. She never really made friends because she didn't talk to anyone, and no one had talked to her.
Olivia noticed that he wanted to go in to the pool, but she seemed to be stopping him. He had walked towards the pool more and seemed eager to jump in. She walked towards the pool and sat down putting her legs in to the water. She wondered when he got to the school, she hadn't seen him around the building before.

Robbie shrugged as he watched her put her legs into the water. Taking another step toward the pool, he leaped off the edge into the water. When he hit the water, he made a huge splash, most likely getting some water on the girl. When Robbie popped his head above the water, he shook the water off. He grabbed the hippie band out of his hair and flung it back over by where the rest of his stuff was. He decided he didn't really want to loose it, although he had about ten.
He looked over at the girl again.
"Sorry if I got you wet..." his bluish-greenish eyes actually looked sorry. "I'm Robbie Jackson, by the way."
Introducing himself was something he often forgot about. That made it hard for people to get a hold of him again if he actually became friends with someone.
"By the way, do you recycle?"

Olivia watched him as he walked more towards the pool and jumping in to the pool. His jump splashed a lot, and got her half wet. The water was cold, it wasn't as bad on her legs than it was everywhere else. He threw the band that was on his head then said "Sorry if I got you wet..." She didn't really mind that much, the reason she came down here for was so she would get wet, or at least cool down. "I'm Robbie Jackson by the way" he told her before she could say it was fine that he got her wet.
" It's nice to meet you Robbie Jackson. I'm Olivia Lovatt." She said telling him her name, after all he did tell her his. She wasn't used to talking to many people besides her mother but she hadn't seen her in a few weeks. She missed her mother a lot and was worried on how she was doing. She was probably doing fine she reassured herself. She tuned back to reality looking at Robbie.
" By the way, do you recycle?" He asked her with a curious look on his face. She wondered what brought up this quiestion, he was probably all about the Earth and such, theres nothing wrong with that.
" Yeah I do, why do you ask?" She asked wondering why he asked so well, suddenly.

Robbie smiled when she gave him her name. It was one he hadn't heard before except on television. He liked meeting people who didn't have the same names as other people he knew for some reason. It gave him an odd satisfaction. Robbie was for sure an odd one out when it came to being a teenager.
She wanted to know why he asked if she recycled? Was it really that weird of a question to ask? Robbie didn't think so. He asked it quite often. The more he thought about it, the more he did realize that he got some weird looks for it in his young life time.
"Well, if you didn't recycle.... I couldn't talk to you," he told her with a smile. "Do you use evil plastic bags, love?"
Plastic bags were another thing that were a no-no for Robbie. They bugged the hell out of him. Plastic bags were a huge pollutant. They took forever, if ever, to discompose into the ground. That meant they were easy for baby ducks and bunnies to get stuck in them and suffocate to death. That is such a awful thing.

"Well, if you didn't recycle.... I couldn't talk to you," Robbie told her smiling. Couldn't talk to me? She asked herself wondering exactly why. He was obviously someone who was utterly obsessed with the Earth. Not that that was a bad thing, it was actually a good thing since most people don't pay any attention to it and how its being destroyed. She just found it slightly strange that he couldn't talk to her if she didn't recycle. Plus that it was only like the third thing he asked her. But he is who he is she thought to herself.
"Do you use evil plastic bags, love?" He asked her something now. He was definitly in love with Earth, and if not, he was pretty close. Olivia just wondered how far he would go about asking quiestions about things that make the world a better place. Probably unknown.
" No, I don't. I like the canvas ones, you can reuse them for anything." She said thinking about how many times shes used her canvas bag. She only has one but shes used it for a lot of things. Her clothes, anything from when she went shopping, just about anything..
